‘Fire Emblem Heroes’ outs first major update with new heroes and story maps

The first big update for Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Heroes has arrived and with it comes new heroes, story maps, and the retention of some features the players want. The new 5-star focus heroes added to the game are Eirika: Restoration Lady (Red), Seliph: Heir of Light (Red), Ephraim: Restoration Lord (Blue), and Julia: Naga’s Blood (Green). To introduce the new heroes there are three new missions to the Paralogues section of the Story Maps. Before this section was grayed out but now you can play through all three maps in Normal, Hard, and Lunatic difficulty levels and collect up to nine free orbs you can spend on the new heroes. These will be available for a limited time so best take advantage of it while they’re here.

Aside from these, Nintendo seems to have taken the feedback from fans into consideration with the additional announcements. The two free orbs a day app release bonus has been extended to March 14. The Worldwide Launch Celebration, which halves the stamina cost for battling in the Training Tower and equipping skills don’t have any cost to stamina as well, has also been extended indefinitely. Training Tower rewards will be available starting February 20. And lastly, units can earn EXP when defeating enemies that are at a much lower level than you starting next month. Looks like there are a lot of exciting stuff coming up.

Is the Nokia 3310 making a comeback?

Rumour has it the sturdy phone from Nokia’s past will be making a comeback. Evan Blass a.k.a. @evleaks reported on VentureBeat the possibility of a version of the phone coming out alongside HMD Global’s other Nokia phone launches at Mobile World Congress (MWC), which is happening a few weeks from now. While HMD won’t confirm the news, the unit will supposedly be a nod to the nearly indestructible 3310 of yore and will tout some of the phone’s main features like really good battery life. It’ll reportedly be sold at €59 (around CA$80) and serve as a good backup phone or main phone for those who just want basics from their device. Oh and Snake, how can we forget Snake? HMD is holding its press launch on Feb 26, so we don’t have to wait that much longer to get confirmation.

Siri updated with 'Lego Batman' tie-in phrases

If you've watched the hilarious and entertaining Lego Batman movie you know that Siri is the voice of the Bat computer as well as a source of comedy in the movie. Apple has apparently partnered with movie studio to enable some movie-specific responses on iOS devices. Simply refer to Siri as 'Hey Computer," and the voice assistant will speak like she does in the movie and refer to you, the user as Lego Batman. If you haven't watched the movie yet, some of the jokes may not make much sense as they're referring to specific scenes.

While not the monumental update we've expected from Siri, this is a fun add-on for fans of the movie and possible a new cross-promotional tool for Apple's voice assistant.
