Ford's new police vehicle doors can stop armour-piercing bullets

Forget technology, Ford has just upped the ante on armoured police vehicles which can now stop armour-piercing bullets.

Coming soon to Ford Interceptor sedans and SUV's, the doors are designed to stop a .30-calibre shot from a high-powered rifle. Crafted from ceramic tile, which breaks up the bullet and with a layer of Kevlar-like weave that can catch the shrapnel.

Previous versions of Ford's ballistic panels, which cost $1,500 per door,  could protect against handgun fire and non-armour piercing rounds, these upgrades level the playing field against tactical weapons and high-powered automatic handguns and rifles. Ford says the doors are strictly for law enforcement and will not be sold to non-police customers.

You can buy an unlocked Galaxy S7 in Canada

Samsung isn't one to rock the boat when it comes to its relationships with the largest carriers in the country. But for the new flagships they're making a bit of an exception and are offering unlocked versions of its new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. But to get your hands on these, you'll need to buy them at the company's Experience Stores located at Toronto's Sherway Gardens, Burnaby's Metrotown Mall, Richmond Centre Mall, or West Edmonton Mall. When you buy from these stores you'll get two unlock codes (in case one of them doesn't work), and a Gear VR as well as 128GB microSD card (just to remind you that expansion is once againa available on the S7).
