Google wants to integrate Chromecast support right into Chrome

In the future you won’t need to install an extension to cast sites to a Chromecast-equipped TV. According to François Beaufort, Google is working on building the feature right into the browser itself. At the moment, you need the Google Cast Chrome extension to send music, videos, and webpages to your TV. Once Google integrates this into Chrome, all you need to do is right click on a page in Chrome and select the “Cast” option to send it to your TV. The feature is currently available on the beta version of Chrome, users can try it out by enabling the experimental “Media Router” feature over here at this link.

LG sends out invites for MWC event on February 21st

With CES out of the way, we head over to Barcelona, Spain in February for the Mobile World Congress. MWC’s usually the place where tech companies out their best smartphones and tablets. LG’s trying to stay ahead of the pack by already sending out invites for their event happening on February 21st, a day ahead of the actual MWC opening.

You can glean much from the invite except it says: “Play begins.” LG usually launches its G flagship devices around April or May. Perhaps this could be a new line or LG’s bumping up the release of the G5. Any guesses on what they might have up their sleeves?

Text and photos by Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

The automotive industry are the originators of the notion to push ‘new and improved,’ models yearly. Be it a new variants of beloved marquees, the addition of more chrome or fins, to moving the needle on performance, fuel economy, safety and of course, price.

Detroit, MI – Just days after the car-heavy International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas wrapped up, many expected the Detroit Auto Show to focus on new technologies like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, improved driver assistive technologies, electrification and autonomous driving technology to name but a few.

Just like the consumer technology industry, the motoring world thrives on iteration and upgrade cycles and game changing breakthroughs.
