FIA Formula E now also has Jaguar in its roster

Jaguar is the latest carmaker to join FIA Formula E Championship starting the fall of next year. For the uninitiated, Formula E is the first global single-seater championship for electric-powered cars. The Jaguar Formula E team partnered with Williams Advanced Engineering to develop the two cars they’ll enter into the third season of the series. Jaguar hasn’t announced yet who will be driving their two cars.

Originally, Formula E series started out with 10 teams driving the same car called the Spark-Renault SRT. In the second season and those coming after it, the series changed to open class to let the teams field their own cars. The only similarity they will have is the chassis and battery. The season starts in October 2016 and will end in July 2017 with 11 races that will happen in 10 cities starting in Beijing and ending with two rounds in London.

Facebook brings Instant Articles to Android

For Android users griping about how iOS users get the good stuff, Facebook has finally brought its Instant Articles feature to Google’s mobile operating system.  Instant Articles is designed to make it easier for Facebook users to access new stories within the Facebook app. Instead of redirecting you to their news sites—the likes of CNN, NBC, and CBS—you can now read straight from Facebook. Facebook believes this will make articles easier to share and thus have more views for the publishers. There are currently over 350 publishers listed in Instant Articles. From Canada there's Chatelaine, Diply, The Huffington Post Canada, Journal de Montreal, Maclean’s, Sportsnet, The Canadian Press, and TVA Nouvelles. And more are being added to it.
