CES 2016: Faraday Future’s concept car gets leaked ahead of CES debut

Faraday Future accidentally leaked its concept car ahead of its event (which happens about four hours from now).  Shown in its companion app, it looks a lot like the Batmobile and it just oozes technology. Its tail fin doesn’t just provide directional stability; it’s a “digital canvas display,” too. It has a quad-core drive with “over 1,000 horsepower,” can roll at a top speed of over 200mph, and promises it can go 0-60mph in less than three seconds.

The electric car startup says its insides have an “ultramodern interior and user-centric UI," which is said to “blur the boundary between the passenger and vehicle itself.” You can supposedly opt to pilot the vehicle or have it drive in autonomous mode. And from the looks of it, you can plug your iPhone into the steering wheel. We’ll find out more once they officially launch the car. You can watch the livestream here.

CES 2016: Griffin's BreakSafe adapter solves the MacBook's MagSafe deficiency

Mac Users have long enjoyed the benefits of the MagSafe adaptor for their notebooks. Last year's new MacBook used a USB Type-C port for charging and connectivity but did not inherit its bigger sibling's MagSafe connectors (because of the nature of USB Type-C). Thankfully, Griffin has gone ahead and remedied this for users who simply use the port for power and charging and who miss the convenience and safety that MagSafe offers.

The BreakSafe adapter (US $39.99),brings the safety and convenience back to newer MacBooks and other laptops with USB-C type connectors.

The quick-release magnetic connector (patent-pending) plugs into your laptop’s USB-C port and safely disconnects from the rest of the cable when under stress or strain, like tripping over the power cord.

CES 2016: Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 family revealed

Few PC manufacturers can iterate and refine their products on a steady and regular basis the way that Lenovo has for its ThinkPad line. The X1 series is all about power and portability with the flagship being the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, regarded by many to be the best notebook PC at its price point.

This year at CES, Lenovo is flexing some serious muscle, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon is now the world’s lightest 14-inch business ultrabook at just 2.6 pounds (previous version was over 3 pounds). The new flagship is faster and thinner but also drops the multi-touch feature on the display. Check out the video above to see what this new flagship notebook has to offer.
