Zulip is your open source alternative to Hipchat and Slack

Are you in need of a communications client for you and your team? Zulip is a free, open source option from Dropbox. The service doesn’t just let you chat with your co-workers; it also has integration with outside services. It even lets you share files and customize notifications, among many other features. You would, however, need someone on your team that can host their own server on an Ubuntu machine. If you have that up and running, Zulip then gives you access to clients for Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac.

Evernote refreshes homescreen widgets on Android

Evernote’s latest update for Android, version 7.2, brings with it new widgets to place on your homescreen. One is the standard list of your most recently viewed notes. Another gives you a horizontal bar that provides you with customizable set of actions so you can put front and center the features you use the most. And lastly, there’s also the 1 x 1 widget that lets you pick one selectable action. The update also brings with it “miscellaneous bug fixes.” It’s already available for download on the Play Store.

Here’s our first look at Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ for Netflix

We’re getting our first official teaser of the second Netflix-exclusive Marvel show, Jessica Jones.  Jessica, played by Krysten Ritter, isn’t your typical superhero. She’s not your regular goody two-shoes and she doesn’t seem like a morning person either, as seen in this trailer. The show will be picking up from where Jessica Jones retires from being a hero and sets up her own detective agency in New York City. The show will be premiering on the streaming service on November 20th.
