Apple releases photo- and video-centric new ad for the iPhone

Building on the company’s “If it’s not an iPhone, it’s not an iPhone” advertising campaign. Apple has released a new video on YouTube that focuses on the photographic capabilities of the iPhone. The ad shows an assortment of artfully arranged iPhones that show various photos and videos. The voiceover of the clip talks about the ease of use and popularity of the iPhone’s camera. The style of the ad is similar to the other videos they released for this campaign.

iPhone's importance highlighted in special Apple website

Apple's iPhone has been with us for seven years now and while it is very much an iconic and familiar device a lot of features and functionality continue to be added. Arguably Apple's most important product category (and its most profitable), the iPhone has managed to successfully lead the industry in various areas around the world, and not only has it survived waves upon waves of competing products, it's managed to evolve various ecosytems from apps to health, wearables, car infotainment and mobile payments.

To accompany Apple's recent series of advertisements focusing on the many features that the iPhone, Apple has developed the "Why there's iPhone," website. While sounding a bit cryptic, the website is actually a very clear rundown of the various features of the iPhone which make it such a successful and beloved device. The iPhone's raison d'être is simple and consistent.

Motorola releases Stagefright exploit fix release schedule and devices covered

The Stagefright exploit is the latest security threat to affect Android devices. Enabled by a video sent via MMS (text message) can attack the system through thelibStageFright mechanism which is necessary for Android to process video files. Many text messaging apps — Google's Hangouts are said to automatically process video so it is ready once the message is accessed, which can trigger the exploit.

Motorola is one of the first companies tor respond to the Stagefright threat and has released a list of models and corresponding fixes.
