Google Photos still offers unlimited storage

A bug has left users wondering if Google was capping storage capacity for its new Photos app. Some users who had larger libraries were sharing how they had a hard time uploading photos onto the app, thus, leaving people to assume that they were capping storage allowance. It’s fortunately far from the truth. A member of XDA Developers forum got in touch with someone at Google, who assured that the issue was because of a bug. Google seems to have remedied the issue and you can got back to uploading multiple photos of your baby once again.

Prince pulls music from streaming sites Spotify and Rdio

Prince has had this love-hate relationship with the Internet and its services. He seems to empathize and agree with Taylor Swift’s criticism of freemium streaming services. So, what does he do? He pulls his music catalogue from the likes of Spotify and Rdio. If you want to hear his music online, right now you can see it on Tidal, SoundCloud, Deezer, and Google Play. There’s no word yet if Google plans to pull out his catalogue. We’re not sure if he’s coming to Apple Music. But for now, you’ll have a limited number of services to gain access to his funk-heavy tunes.

The official trailer for Aaron Sorkin's 'Steve Jobs' movie is out

Noah Wylie, Ashton Kutcher and now Michael Fassbender have tried to become onscreen versions of Steve Jobs. The upcoming  Danny Boyle directed 'Steve Jobs,' which comes to theatres on October 9, was penned by Aaron Sorkin (West Wing, The Newsroom) and is based off the Walter Isaacson's Jobs biography (which was commissioned by Steve Jobs but derided by some of his closest colleagues including Tim Cook and Jony Ive.
The latest, and I suspect not the last, Jobs biopic is supposedly made up of three acts leading up to three impactful product launches in Steve Jobs (and Apple's) history. It also explores Jobs' relationship with his daughter Lisa. Oh, and Seth Rogen plays Woz.

Facebook tracks your video watching preferences

You don’t just have to like certain videos for Facebook to bring similar clips to your attention. The social network is now tracking your preferences or behavior when it comes to videos. It now also takes into account if you’ve switched the video to full-screen, increased volume, and even switched to HD (when it’s available).

According to a Facebook release, "We are now taking into account more interactions with videos that we have learned indicate whether someone found that video interesting, such as choosing to turn on sound, making the video full screen, and enabling high definition. So if you turn the volume up or make the video full screen, we have updated News Feed to infer you liked the video and will show you similar videos higher up in your News Feed. We have found that this helps us show people more videos that they are interested in.”
