Get the answers you need with Light

If you’re hoping to get you an epiphany for those nagging questions, the Light app is here to give you what you want. Called the world’s first answering engine, this Android app culls information using NLP, which are machine learning and man-machine hybrid technologies. It’ll give you answer to those factual questions you have in mind (sorry it won’t solve your personal issues). When you type in a question, it can give you the answer easily or if it needs a bit of help, it’ll consult an expert on the topic. You’ll be able to see the questions you’ve asked on the app. And if you want to share interesting results, you can also share them on the different social networks.

Review: Canary wireless security system for apartments and homes

Canary’s system comes with everything you need to set it up. Once you download the iOS app and plug in the device, you pair it to your phone via a yellow wire (which you only need to use once). Hook up Canary to your home WiFi or wired router and it is locked, loaded and ready to go. 

Easy to use IP based security cameras have been around for some time now but what makes Canary’s solution so impressive is that it integrates a great camera, motion sensor, humidity and temperature sensors into one tiny device while integrating all of this in one great and easy to use mobile app.

Microsoft Hyperlapse app adds more support for Android devices

Microsoft updated its Hyperlapse beta app on Android to add more devices it can support. It now works on Motorola Moto X, Motorola Moto G (first and second generation), and the Samsung Galaxy S4, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. The prerequisite bug fixes are also in this update.

This Hyperlapse app is similar to the one Instagram released. It lets you create sped up, steady video of your many adventures. And since Instagram hasn’t released their version yet, the Microsoft one is the next best thing to use.

Google tipped to include fingerprint authentication to Android ‘M’

With Google I/O less than a week away, rumours have been going around that Google plans to unveil the latest iteration of its mobile operating system Android M at the developer’s conference. One of the reports claim that Google plans to integrate native fingerprint authentication into the OS. So, if you use an Android M device, it’ll have a built-in fingerprint reader. This will help out device manufacturers who want to make use of the technology for their upcoming devices even if they don’t have a history of making fingerprint readers. We just have to wait a bit to see if there is any truth to these rumours.
