Reddit’s volunteer transcribers quit over API changes

Reddit's volunteer transcribers are quitting over the company's API changes. The r/TranscribersOfReddit community, which provides accessibility features like alt text and captions for media posts, will shut down on June 30. That's a day before Reddit starts charging for API access.

The group says Reddit has failed to fix core issues with the platform and has shown a clear disregard for accessibility. It also says the third-party apps that Reddit will exempt from the API fees (like RedReader, Dystopia, and Luna) are not suitable for blind and visually impaired moderators.

Google's Perspectives feature lets you see content from real people

Google is launching a new search feature that will let you explore different perspectives from real people on various topics. Perspectives will be available as a tab on Friday, the company announced on TwitterWhen you tap the Perspectives tab, you will see different content from discussion boards, Q&A sites, and social media platforms, such as videos, images and written posts. Google said in a blog post that this feature is designed to help you find "information from people on forums and social media sites," allowing you to benefit from the experiences of others.

'Batman: Arkham Trilogy' coming to Nintendo Switch this fall

If you own a Nintendo Switch and love Batman, you're in luck. Warner Bros. Games has announced that Batman: Arkham Trilogy is coming to the Switch this fall. This collection includes: Arkham AsylumArkham City, and Arkham Knight. You'll also get all the DLC content released for each game. The Switch port is handled by Turn Me Up Games, who brought Switch ports for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 and It Takes Two.

In these games, you'll play as Batman and face off against some of his most notorious enemies, such as The Joker, Mr. Freeze, and The Penguin. You'll explore different locations in Gotham City, from the dark and twisted Arkham Asylum to the sprawling and chaotic Arkham City. You'll also get to drive the Batmobile and use a variety of gadgets and skills to fight crime and solve puzzles.
