Expedia.ca announces full-featured Apple Watch app

As one of the 15 selected app launch partners, Expedia.ca just announced that the free Expedia app for Apple Watch will be one of the first users can experience when the wearable device becomes available on April 24, 2015.

Expedia app for Apple Watch will provide travellers with quick access to important travel information on the go. This includes the ability to check itineraries for upcoming trips and get detailed flight and hotel information such as departure and arrival times, gate and terminal numbers, check-in and check-out times, ratings, locations, addresses, and phone numbers for hotels. Handy dandy, eh?

Alcatel OneTouch's cross-platform Watch coming to Canada for US $149.99

One of the more impressive smartwatches and wearable devices seen at CES 2015, the Alcatel OneTouch Watch, which can work in tandem iOS or Android, is coming to Canada via an online preorder system.

Dyson entering new product category with innovative Pure Cool air purifier

Last November, Dyson committed $2.6 billion investment into future technology, including a $1.7 billion for the research and development of new product technologies.  

Dyson’s added a new product to their current Air Multiplier range in China, toda. The Dyson Pure Cool. The first purifier from Dyson, it removes 99.95 per cent of harmful ultrafine particles from household air. 

Demonstrating a continued focus on health and wellness in the home, this new Dyson machine uses a high-efficiency 360° Glass HEPA filter. This is a glass media filter made from constructed borosilicate microfibers. This filter has been pleated 254 times, meaning it can trap minute particles – as small as PM0.1.

IBM investing $3 Billion to develop Internet of Things business

IBM announced the formation of a new business unit inside the company, dedicated to accelerating its leadership in the Internet of Things (IoT).

IBM estimates that 90 percent of all data generated by devices like smartphones, tablets, connected vehicles and appliances is never analyzed or acted upon. As much as 60 percent of this data begins to lose value within milliseconds of being generated. To address this challenge, IBM will announce plans to develop new industry-specific cloud data services, IoT developer tools and expanded ecosystem partnerships.
