Curious about Apple's iOS 8.3? The public beta is now available

Apple's iOS 8.2 was released a few days ago but intrepid iPhone and iPad users can try out the upcoming iOS 8.3 beta by signing up as a beta tester in Apple's Seed Website. Being beta 1 software, we advise that anyone planning on playing with the new build have an archived backup of their current OS before installing the beta so they have something familiar to go back to in case something goes awry. As with any beta software, users should know that the software is being made available to get help squash bugs as well as test new features.

Starting with Yosemite last year, Apple seems to be seeing the benefit of crowdsourcing their beta software and is extending the program to iOS users as well. Are you curious enough to try the latest iOS version?

Google finally releases watch faces for Android Wear

Even though Google was the one who built Android Wear, they have yet to release watch faces for it, until today. Dubbed as Street Art, these faces were made by collaboration between Google and over a dozen of artists under the Google Art Project. Those who download these faces have three modes to choose from: analog, digital, or minimal.  Analog gets a round watch face so it’ll work well with the round smartwatches. Digital puts the focus on the art so the time gets relegated to the bottom. And minimal makes use of small circles to display time in an analog fashion but it won’t have hour and second hands. You can also toggle whether you want the date shown or not.

Audi plans to unveil all-electric SUV in 2018

There will be an all-electric sport utility vehicle from Audi, but it’ll be coming three years from now. According to Audi’s engineering chief Ulrich Hackenberg, the company plans to bring a battery-powered “sports activity vehicle” early 2018. It will range upwards of 500 kilometers and it’s going to be “very attractive.” The image above was shown by Hackenberg at Audi’s annual press conference. Of course, there is no word yet where they will sell it and for how much.

Amazon introduces Exclusives section for ‘up-and-coming brands’

Don’t let the name confuse you. The new Amazon Exclusives store isn’t for items sold exclusively on the site. What it does contain are products that have been successful on Kickstarter as well as other “up-and-coming brands.” You’ll see products like the Zackees’s clever cycling gloves, Olloclip phone camera lenses, and Tower’s inflatable paddle board from ABC’s Shark Tank.

What makes it exclusive though is brands have to sign an agreement with Amazon that the site will be the exclusive third-party retailer. But they can still sell it through their site or physical stores. Products in the Exclusives section will be eligible for Prime shipping.
