Google releases standalone PDF viewer for Android

If you don’t use Google Drive but want to open a PDF file on your Android smartphone, then Google has the solution for you. They have unveiled their own standalone PDF viewer called the, well, PDF Viewer. It can open your PDF attachments with ease. The app is now available for download on the Google Play Store.

Stage is set of Apple's 'Spring Forward' event on Monday

The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco is being readied while Apple's executive's are no doubt polishing their presentations and big reveals for Monday's 'Spring Forward' event. Invitations went out a week ago to selected media to attend the event on March 9 at 10 a.m. PDT, which will be live streamed.

As with previous events, it will be broadcast on Apple's Live website, and it will also be available on the Apple TV via a dedicated channel. The stream is also available as an archived video on Apple's website after the event.

Apple is expected to reveal more about the Apple Watch including pricing for all lines as well as how people can select the various available options. Also expected are announcements pertaining to MacBook Airs and possibly the introduction of a new 12-inch model with a Retina Display. All will be revealed soon enough.

Gmail adds interactive notifcations to iPhone app

It is now easier to use Gmail on iPhone with its latest update. The app now makes it easier to interact with emails from the lock screen. You can now reply or archive a message from there. It is also easier and quicker to share and view attachments. You can now send a link, file, or photo right within the app you’re using. You can select Gmail from the share menu. Also, when opening attachments you can select which app you want to open them in.
