Olympus new SH-2 travel camera now shoots RAW files

One of the most versatile travel cameras has just received a nice update. The new Olympus SH-2 continues where the SH-1 left off. We still get a solid metal body and PEN styling as well as Wi-Fi connectiivty and a truly killer feature, the 6-axis image stabilization for ensuring accurate and blur-free handheld shots.

Onboard is a 16 megapixel sensor, 24x optical Zoom (25-600mm equivalent) + 2X Super Resolution Zoom + 4x Digital Zoom. Pricing for this camera starts at $399.99.

Google announces 2nd generation Chromebook Pixel with dual USB-C ports

The age of the luxury ultraportable is definitely upon us. Apple launched its new thnner and lighter Retina MacBook two days ago and now Google has followed suit with its latest Chromebook Pixel.

Starting at US $999, the new Chromebook Pixel features an  all-aluminum body, a 13-inch touchscreen that has a 2560 x 1700 resolution and an aspect ratio of 3:2. Google decided on a proper mobile chip, no leass than an Intel Core i5 Broadwell processor powers this Chromebook which also sports  8GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage space.

Comparing Chromebooks to Apples, the pixel 2 is heavier than the new MacBook at 3.3 pounds but it also offers more in terms of battery life (12-hours), ports (two USB-C ports) and fast charging technology. in terms of design, it looks a whole lot like the Retina MacBook Pro 13.

HP revealed its new line of re-engineered LaserJet Colour printers yesterday. Starting from the toner, HP's refined the process to ensure 33% more printing capacity and even faster performance. Because of their innovation, printers wake from sleep faster than ever before and can tackle print jobs quicker. Compared with DELL's enterprise printer, the m553n can print 8 pages before the competitor's printer warms up and begins its first page.

This may not be a big deal for home offices or SMB's, but in workplaces where various users need to print multiple pages quickly, every second matters. The new HP LaserJets come to Canada and the US on April 1.
