TELUS, Public Safety Canada help Canadians protect personal information on smartphones

In a joint effort to thwart cybercrime and protect Canadians, TELUS and Public Safety Canada have launched the #BeAppSafe campaign to inform, educate and inspire action among Canadians to secure the personal information they store on their mobile devices. 

“Public Safety Canada is dedicated to tackling cyber threats through our awareness initiative, Get Cyber Safe,” said the Honourable Steven Blaney, Canada’s Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness. “We’re pleased to collaborate with TELUS on the #BeAppSafe campaign to amplify our efforts and encourage Canadians to take steps to better protect themselves and their families.”

Pebble skips back to Kickstarter roots to launch new Pebble Time wearable

Pebble is possibly the biggest product to come out of Kickstarter and today has gone back to its roots to launch its new coloured Pebble Time. The successor to the original Pebble and Pebble Steel models, the Pebble Time boasts a coloured display, 7-day battery life and an updated timeline view, the watch cost $159.00 while Kickstarter supplies last and will ship in May, one month after Apple Watch is expected to come to market.
