Apple Stores will reportedly have custom safes for Apple Watches

Apple looks to be taking extra precautions for its first wearable, if reports are to be believed. The Cupertino-based company will reportedly keep the 18-karat gold Apple Watch Edition in specially-installed safes. These will be installed with Apple Watch MagSafe chargers for additional safety. Aside from that, Apple is also getting ready to switch up its stores to add displays for the Apple Watch. This will let customers view the devices themselves as well as different band materials. They would even buy scales to weigh the amount of gold in the Apple Watch Edition if they are to be returned or replaced.

iOS app predicts the probability of your plane crashing

In case you're jumpy about getting on any planes these days, there is now also an app to help alleviate your fears. Am I Going Down? is an iOS app that makes use of big data to measure the probability of your plane crashing. You just need to enter the flight information as well as the airline, plane type, and airports you are departing from and arriving to. The app gets its data from the Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Archives, the United States National Transportation Safety Board, and the International Civil Aviation Organization. Its calculations take into account the prior accidents which resulted in one or more passenger fatalities. But flights older than 10 years aren't included. It might seem a bit morbid but if it can help reassure people, then we don't see anything wrong with that.

Here are the first pictures of Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs

The Aaron Sorkin scripted Steve Jobs biopic based on Walter Isaacson's authorized Jobs biography has had a lot of ups and downs and seemed to be held in a Hollywood holding pattern as various high profile actors (like Christian Bale and Leonardo DiCaprio) were in talks to play the iconic part. It seems Sony Studios has found their Steve Jobs in Michael Fassbender (who recently played young Magneto in the X-Men prequels as well as the Android David in Prometheus).
