The Interior Design Show (IDS) in Toronto begins today and runs through the weekend at the Metro Convention Centre (January 22-25) and a few exhibitors are my radar.

CUBITAT is one exhibitor that is truly inspiring and worth checking out. The Toronto based developers, Urban Capital (founded by David Wex and Mark Reeve) are renknowned for their innovative SmartHouse micro condos and architecturally striking River City - just two of their critically-acclaimed, "out of the box" projects. Now, they've climbed their way back "into the box" so that the inside is exactly where you'd most want to be. Inside the cube, actually.

Here's what a game will look like on Apple Watch

We're seeing some screens of Apple Watch apps start to surface. NimbleBit's word game LetterPad is a puzzle type game where players have to create words related to a given clue. We've also learned that many games like the one above will run from connected iPhones and simply be projected to the Apple Watch, which should conserve the wearable's battery life. Smart watches haven't really bene seen as casual gaming devices but Apple Watch and WatchKit could change this. Let's see what happens.

Google introduces screen reader function to Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps on mobile

Using Google’s productivity apps on mobile pose a bit of a challenge, to be honest. Google is hoping to remedy that with its latest updates for iOS and Android. Now, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides support Android TalkBack and iOS VoiceOver, screen readers that are meant to help visually impaired read words on the app. Documents now also have real-time spell check, spreadsheets can hide rows and columns, and presentations can lump similar shapes together. If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you can use fingerprint unlock to keep your private files away from nosy colleagues. The update should be up on both iTunes and Play Store.

Moto 360 makes appearance in Google Play Store Canada

Joining countries in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and the UK), Canada will be getting the Motorola Moto 360 through Google’s Play Store real soon. It has shown up to be available in the aforementioned countries based on the support page. The tech giant may have updated the page before it is actually out though because it is still listed as coming soon. At least we get the heads up that it is arriving soon. So, if you’ve been waiting for Google to stock this baby (if you haven’t gotten it through Motorola yet). Your wait is almost over.
