Diablo IV’s Hardcore mode challenges players to reach level 100 without dying—and rewards the first 1,000 who do it with a place on a statue of Lillith. Blizzard announced the contest in a tweet, saying: “Think you can cheat death? Reach level 100 on hardcore mode and tweet #Diablo4Hardcore with proof to have your username immortalized on a statue of Lilith.”

Hardcore mode is the ultimate test of skill in Diablo—one death means losing your character forever. But if you can survive the horrors of Diablo IV and reach the level cap, you can earn a permanent spot on the statue of the game’s main villain.

Image: Samsung

Samsung's Galaxy Enhance-X app is an AI-powered photo editor that can remove flaws and boost HDR quality in pictures. The app was launched in beta last year for Galaxy S23 customers, but it will soon be available for other devices, including the Galaxy S22 Ultra, other S22 phones and the Galaxy A series. According to a Samsung community moderator, the app will be compatible with the early 2022 flagship in about 2-3 weeks. The app can be downloaded for free from the Galaxy Store or sideloaded via APKMirror, but it is still in beta. Galaxy Enhance-X offers more advanced editing tools than the stock Gallery app on Samsung phones, and it may eventually replace it as the main image and video editing app.

NVIDIA generative AI tech can let you have real convos with NPCs

NVIDIA has introduced Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE), a technology that lets gamers have natural conversations with non-playable characters (NPCs) in games. The company showcased the tech at Computex 2023 with a demo called Kairos, where a player chats with an NPC named Jin in a futuristic Ramen shop.

The demo shows how the player can ask Jin about his life and get relevant answers. For example, the player says: “Hey Jin, how are you?” Jin replies: “Unfortunately, not so good. I am worried about the crime around here. It’s gotten bad lately. My ramen shop got caught in the crossfire.”
