Shazam has brought Google’s Material Design user interface into its Android app with the latest update. The floating action button now lets you do quick sound searches. The homescreen now also makes it easier for you to keep updated with the artists you’ve Shazamed as well as get easier access to new Shazam charts.

Following the release of Nokia’s HERE Maps app on Google Play, it would seem an iPhone release isn’t too far off. According to HERE’s official blog, the positive feedback for the Android release has prompted them to make a comeback to iOS. The previous HERE Maps app was pulled out from iOS when “iOS 7 ruined the experience.” All we can say is welcome back to HERE. We will be waiting for you.

The hugely popular “Minecraft: Pocket Edition” is now available for Windows Phone 8.1 and includes all of Minecraft’s mobile features, including the tense action of Survival mode, the limitless exploration of Creative mode, and multiplayer fun over local Wi-Fi networks. This release includes infinite worlds, with the new biomes, caves, mobs, villages and more that players love.

The momentous teaming up of former rivals IBM and Apple to push enterprise-grade solutions on iOS has yielded the first crop of applications. The apps include Passenger+ (above), which allows airline flight crews to offer personalized, in-flight services to passengers such as rebooking flights, accessing baggage information and providing special offers. Other mobile business apps now available through the collaboration between IBM and Apple are designed for customers in banking, retail, insurance, financial services, telecommunications and government.
