Android Lollipop update for HTC One Google Play Editions gets delayed

A bit of bad news for those waiting for the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the Google Play Editions of the HTC One M7 and M8 versions. The update is being pushed back a bit again. Mo Versi, vice president of product management at HTC, said there is another software version request, meaning more work still needs to be done until the update is released. Versi did promise its users though that they will let us know when the update is finally ready and that it gets its nod from Google.

Dyson’s $2.6 billion CAD investment in research to supercharge global growth

Dyson committed a $2.6 billion CAD (£1.5 billion) investment to future technology, including a $1.7 billion CAD (£1bn) for the research and development of new product technologies.  Dyson is developing four new portfolios of technology and will launch 100 new products around the world in the next four years. Private beta test of YouTube Music Key reportedly begins

YouTube’s new music subscription service Music Key have reportedly begun its private beta test with the first batch of invites rolled out. Users on Reddit claim the service already offers users ways to watch music videos and download these for offline use. It also has the ability to continue playing while using other apps.

Google plans to charge $9.99 a month for the service once it is fully released. But for beta testers they have free access to the service for six months before they have to pay $7.99 a month after.

Microsoft releases major update for Health app

Microsoft Health app—which you need for the Microsoft Band—has just been updated to get rid of a number of bugs as well to improve stability of the app. It now shows corrected historical views for steps and calories, birthday and zip code validation correction, and better handling of zero minute duration sleep events. The update should be coming to Microsoft Health users automatically.
