TELUS brings Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE to subscribers

If you have been waiting for the metal-clad Samsung Galaxy Alpha or the LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, today’s your lucky day. TELUS will be bring both premium devices to its subscribers.

The Galaxy Alpha will be available on a two-year term starting at $180 or $700 outright. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE can be availed under the Easy Tablet program, which lets customers buy the tablet for a lower cost upfront. The remaining balance can be paid through equal monthly payments over a one- or two-year term without interest. You can get the Tab S, for example, for $100 upfront plus $20 per month over two years or outright for $580.

Sony officially brings PS4 Remote Play to Xperia Z2

Making the PlayStation Vita a bit redundant, Sony has officially announced that its PS4 Remote Play feature is now available to the previous generation flagship, the Xperia Z2. The feature is coming to both the smartphone and tablet version, which means you can play your PS4 games while you’re away from the console and TV but within the same Wi-Fi network. Sony says they will only bringing this functionality to Xperia devices.

Taylor Swift's adoring fans can still get their streaming music fix on RDIO

Pop superstar Taylor Swift rocked the interwebs by pulling out of popular streaming service Spotify this week. Swift's sentiments that streaming services like Spotify fail to properly compensate artists as well as musicians, engineers and producers that create the music. So, as an experiment, streaming music was something Swift no longer wanted to participate in. Thankfully, fans of Swift's music can turn to RDIO which announced that the full library of Swift's musical ouvre would be available (except the latest album "1989") will remain available through the following ways through the platform’s ad-supported Internet radio service. 

  • on-demand, allowing paid subscribers to listen to any of her songs anywhere, anytime they want
  • Internet radio, allowing anyone to hear her songs as part of the ad-supported Internet radio experience
