Hundreds of Dropbox passwords leak online, third party blamed for breach

In what has been a month of monumental security breaches and cloud compromise stories, 400 Dropbox user names and  passwords appeared online yesterday in a leak purporting access to over 7 million accounts taken from Dropbox servers.

Dropbox, whose business model is anchored on secure storage of free and paid user information, denied that there had been a breach and instead pointed to a third party source from which the information was taken. Dropbox added that many of the said passwords are no longer updated or in use but cautioned users to consider using two-step verification when putting information up on the service. Mailbox now optimized for iPhone 6, moves Mac app to open public beta

Dropbox’s Mailbox app just got a major update on both mobile and Mac versions. The iOS app receives version 2.3.1 on Monday that optimizes it to the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It also gets new swipe customization and fix for iOS push notifications as well as email rendering issues.

Meanwhile, Mailbox for Mac is now available to everyone. It brings new gesture feature by letting users to get rid of emails in Trash and Spam by swiping them to the right. Other bug fixes include getting rid of the issue where attachments fail to send when using an alias as well as the issue that inputs incorrect From addresses when replying to a message sent to another alias.

Sony brings ‘Entwined Challenge’ to Android

If you’re a fan of Sony and its PlayStation, you might want to check out this new mobile game on Android. Entwined Challenge is based on a game called Entwined on PlayStation 4. Its premise revolves around a bird and a fish who work together to create a stunning creature. You will use your fingers to steer the creatures, collect goals, and pass checkpoints. You need to have them as in-sync as possible to get the highest scores.
