Flipboard makes a quick appearance on Windows Phone

It took a year but finally Flipboard makes its way to Windows Phone platform. But that appearance is short-lived as they pulled the “incomplete build” from Windows Phone Store. It was reported earlier by The Verge that the app was missing a key feature: flipping action. The app reportedly displayed all other functionalities available on other platforms, including options to share, like, comment, and search. It also doesn’t seem to support Windows Phone devices with 512MB RAM. But Flipboard wanted to clarify that the app that was shown on Windows Phone Store was a placeholder. Guess we’d have to wait a bit more for the actual app.

Apple issues statement on 'Bendgate' accusations

While competitors and detractors are reveling at 'reports' that iPhone 6's can be easily bent, Apple has issued a statement below stating that only nine customers have complained about this issue.

We chose these high-quality materials and construction very carefully for their strength and durability. We also perform rigorous tests throughout the entire development cycle including 3-point bending, pressure point cycling, sit, torsion, and user studies. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus meet or exceed all of our high quality standards to endure everyday, real life use. 

With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare and through our first six days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus. As with any Apple product, if you have questions please contact Apple.”
