Sony’s promo image shows two new possible devices

It’s that time of the year when leaks and teasers are starting to surface thanks to the upcoming IFA. This time around we have Sony, possibly intentionally, leaking two new devices they might be showing off at the show. The image above is from a Facebook promo page of the SmartBand. And while it doesn’t show the wearable device, what we see instead is what looks like the rumoured Xperia Z3 mini tablet (a new size for Sony’s tablet line) and possibly a new SmartWatch. It has been almost a year since the SmartWatch 2’s release so we won’t be surprised if new iteration if it shows up.

Leak of BlackBerry Passport’s full specs surface

Specs of the unusually-shaped BlackBerry device have surfaced online and before it was taken down, the internet has already managed to spread the word on the BlackBerry Passport. The device will reportedly debut next month and it will sport a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 graphics, 3GB of LPDDR3 800MHz RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card support of up to 64GB, and that unique 4.5-inch 1440x1440 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It will also have a 13-megapixel rear shooter, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera as well as 3450mAh battery. It looks to be no slouch but we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see if any of these are actually true.

Google brings Photo Sphere Camera app to iOS

In case you missed it, Google recently brought its unique camera app to Apple’s iOS platform. Photo Sphere Camera will let you take 360-degree shots. You just need to point your viewfinder at the dot on a screen and tilt and move the phone around until you get the entire scene. It’s very much like creating your own Google Street View photo that you can share on Google Maps and other social networking sites. If this is something you’d like to try out, then you better download the app here.
