[Update -- Winner Announced] Be the brightest smile at the Toronto FC match September 6th courtesy of Phillips, Toothworks and CanadianReviewer!

Now that the hockey and basketball seasons are but distant memories, us Torontonians have baseball and soccer to focus our time and attention (and emotions) on. Being said, when emotions are involved, so are pictures - lots and lots of pictures. And what do pictures need the most of to make them what they are? Gigantic, genuine smiles.

Now that the conversation is on smiles, we can touch down on a something that everyone has in the back of their heads, but no one really speaks of: proper teeth care. I can only speak for myself when I say I don't floss nearly enough!

Facebook shutters Gifts service on its site

Facebook used to allow you to send gifts or digital gift cards to your friends on the social networking site. Now, this option is being taken away from you. Facebook is shutting down the service by August 12 as part of a move to help businesses and developers drive their own sales rather than turning Facebook into an online store of sorts. Or we’d like to think no one is really using the service anymore so it makes no sense that they keep it running.

HTC rumoured to unveil new Windows Phone device at August 19th event

HTC has something up its sleeves and the tech rumour mill is buzzing. The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer is hosting an event in New York this coming August 19 and they aren’t saying what it’s for. Some people claim the event will be for HTC One M8 for Windows. The device will reportedly feature most of the same specs the Android flagship will have such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 5-inch 1080p display, and 16GB or 32GB internal storage. But the device will carry Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system. Whether this rumour is true or not, we’d just have to wait and see what HTC has in store for us.
