What to expect from Videotron's Freedom Mobile acquisition

Videotron, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quebecor, now owns Freedom Mobile. Quebecor and Shaw Communications announced that this creates the "fourth strong, competitive wireless service provider" in the country. Videotron has promised François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, to lower prices to benefit Canadians.

Waze lets you tap into your zodiac sign with new navigation guide

Waze is going to let your zodiac sign guide you through the roads with its new driving experience. Drive around in a vehicle and Mood outfitted for your sign and expect the navigation guide to be "well-versed in astrology," while also poking fun at the traits typically attributed to the different signs. The experience is now available in the app.

Google Drive revokes 5 million file creation cap following backlash

Google quietly rolled out a file creation limit on Drive the past few weeks, which imposed a five million file creation limit on its accounts. It drew flak from users over the limit, but also how there wasn't a warning issued about the cap. Now, Google is rolling back the changes, which it made to "preserve stability and optimize performance" and prevent Drive misuse. 

The tech giant argued it only ever impacted a small number of users but said it is looking for alternative ways to guarantee stable performance for all users.

Youth Science Canada picks students to represent the country at Regeneron ISEF 2023 competition

A group of eight high school students are all set to represent the country at the premiere youth STEM project competitions, the 2023 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. The students will compete in Dallas, Texas on May 14 to 19. They were picked by a panel of STEM professionals from across the country based on the "level of ingenuity, critical thinking, scientific excellence, and communication skill in developing their STEM project."
