The new smartphone is expected to continue the path of innovation set by the original HTC One, which despite being around a year old, has endured as possibly the best Android smartphone released in 2013, in terms of design build-quality and features.

Apple reportedly working on Spotify competitor, iTunes Android app

Apple is tipped to be working with record label executives to build an on-demand streaming music service that can take on the likes of Spotify and thinking of creating an iTunes Store app for Android. A report from Billboard cited three unnamed sources that claim the “exploratory talks” are in its very early stages.

Apple does seem to need to rethink its strategy with iTunes. Nielsen reports downloading on the platform has dropped 13 percent from the week of March 9 and digital track sales are down 11 percent from 2013.

Google adds ‘Take A Picture’ and ‘Take a Video’ voice commands to Search

Google is looking to make it easier for you to take photos and videos. The tech company has added “Take a picture” and “Take a video” (or “Record a video”) voice command into Search. You just need to launch Google Now and have it open the camera app to the needed mode.

Twitter kills #Music app

Twitter has officially pulled the plug on its #Music app and has pulled out the app from the App Store yesterday. The app will stop working on April 18. #Music was Twitter’s attempt to build conversations around music and help users discover new music on the social network. Unfortunately, it wasn’t able to lure listeners away from other music apps out on the market. The company has said it is looking to develop “new ways” to incorporate music into Twitter.
