Sony releases Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to more Xperia devices

Following the recent Android Jelly Bean update for the Xperia Z Ultra and Z1, Sony is rolling out the 4.3 version of its OS to the Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z, ZL, and ZR. These four devices will be gaining access to the OS updates features as well as the Smart Social Camera from Sony. There will also be a new suite of Sony-made apps for these Xperia users, including MyXperia, Messaging, Small apps, TrackID, Sony Select, and Smart Connect.

Leaked screencap of rumoured Nokia Lumia dual-SIM device surfaces

Twitter tipster @evleaks recently dropped a screencap of a supposed dual-SIM Lumia coming from Nokia. Codenamed “Moneypenny,” the home screen looks like it has separate tiles for messages and calls for the different SIM cards as well as two reception bars.

Listen: The iOS gesture-based music player

If you want to control music with your iOS device but don’t want to have to look down on the screen, then the free Listen app might be a good option for you. The app is controlled mainly by gestures. You swipe to change songs and to shuffle between menus. You also just tap to start or pause a song. This will be handy for those listening to music while driving or working out.

Samsung 2014 smart TVs to support single-finger gestures

Samsung is moving away from the gimmicks of gesture control and seems to want make it more useful for users. The Korean tech giant aims to integrate single-finger gesture support for next year’s line of smart TVs. For example, you can return to a previous screen or stop a video by motioning your finger counterclockwise. Next year’s Samsung TVs will also feature improved voice control capabilities, like just mentioning the channel number to switch channels.
