Is an 18k smartphone golding too far?

The most audacious response to the gold coloured iPhone 5s yet has to be this $4,400 'Special Edition' HTC One. Created to celebrate the 18th anniversary of the MOBO Awards, this bling-extreme smartphone is made from 18-carat gold ( means that the alloy's weight consists of 75% of gold and 25% of alloy).
