There might still be a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE in the works

Source: Samsung

The missteps surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE's release might not have hampered Samsung's plans for releasing its successor. Reports are going around that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy S22 FE in 2023, and it'll be the new home for its Exynos chips. There have been previous reports saying Samsung was moving away from developing its chipsets for its flagship devices in favour of Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors. That doesn't mean we wouldn't see it in its lower-tier devices, like the Galaxy S22 FE.

This rumoured device will reportedly run on an Exynos 2300 chip, which will supposedly also power the Fan Edition of the Galaxy Tab S8. The Galaxy S22 FE is expected to replace the Galaxy A74. It'll supposedly have a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor. If the rumours are true, we won't see it launch alongside the Galaxy S23, which is for the best. Instead, it's expected to be one of the main products during the second Galaxy Unpacked event in 2023 (alongside the Tab S8 FE).

YouTube Music is testing song lyrics casting

Source: u/PmMeYourChromebook / Reddit

It might not be like the recently launched Apple Music Sing feature, but it looks like YouTube Music wants to at least catch up with Spotify. Reddit user u/PmMeYourChromebook spotted a test running on the music streaming service where scrolling lyrics are shown alongside the album art and track details on a compatible display. The Reddit user tested it on a Pixel 6 Pro and Chromecast Ultra.

The feature looks like it's optimized for larger screens as it shows a few lines of lyrics at a time, with the current line highlighted as the song goes. It's similar to Spotify, although that shows most of the lyrics it can as the track song continues. For songs with lyrics available, they will pop up as soon as it starts. The album art is relegated to the right side with the title and singer. Songwriters are credited near the end of the song. It's unclear when Google plans to bring this to YouTube, but we'll keep our eye out for it.

Source: Google

In the markets where Google's Sleep Sensing feature is available, it'll remain free for an extra year. Initially, Google planned to integrate the feature built into the Google Nest Hub 2nd-gen into Fitbit Premium this 2023. But now, on its product page, it mentions that the sleep tracking will be "free of charge through 2023." The company is likely to work on improving the feature before charging for it. So, you can hold off on that Fitbit Premium subscription if you haven't subscribed yet.

Source: 91mobiles

With the Samsung Galaxy S23 launch expected at the start of February, it's unsurprising to see the number of rumours surrounding the device. This time, we're seeing some promotional materials showing off the signature shades of the next Samsung flagship. There's the Samsung Galaxy S23+ in pink and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in a more subtle green than the S22 and black. While the base model isn't anywhere in sight, that typically shares the colour scheme of the S23+.
