Kobo launches three new eBook Readers

Pre-empting what is expected to be a major announcement by rival Amazon.com, Toronto-based Kobo, now owned by Rakuten, stealthily launched a new line of eBook Readers. The first models since last year's tablet/eReader hybrid the Kobo Vox, the new models represent an entire range of products including a new coloured tablet and what they note is the world's smallest eReader. Nokia previews its future Windows Phone 8 smartphones

New York - Nokia showed off  the result of many months of work today with two new working Windows Phone 8 devices. Previewed today were the Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 which are expected to launch in the US later this year but which have not yet been slated for Canadian release.

2012 Norton Study: Consumer Cybercrime Costs Canadians C$1.4 Billion

Norton's yearly cybercrime study finds that 8.3 million Canadians fell victim to cybercrime in last year. Increasing dependence on mobile devices also reflected in mobile vulnerabilities doubling in 2011 from 2010·  The study also found that ybercrime costs the average Canadian $169 and that  21%: Online adults who don’t understand the risk of cybercrime or how to protect themselves online.
