RIM to release 32GB 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook on August 9th in Canada only

Research In Motion has just announced the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook which was revealed back in BlackBerry World.  Featuring an improved 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM a standard 32GB or memory and the same rock solid build, ports and features as the original BlackBerry PlayBook.

A Canadian exclusive, the new 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook  tablet will be available from Bell, Rogers and TELUS in Canada on August 9, 2012. Additional variants of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet supporting various high speed cellular networks are expected to be available in the coming months from carriers in the US, Europe, South Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Google Maps releases 6000 panoramic views from JFK Space Center

With 2012 marking the 50th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Google has released over 6000 panoramic views from the space center; its single largest Street View collection to date.

Among the images you can now explore online are the Space Shuttle Launch Pad, the Vehicle Assembly Building where you can see the shuttles in their hangars up close, and the Launch Firing Room from which the shuttles are controlled.

Samsung sets up Galaxy Note 10.1-inch release on August 15

Samsung might have found a way to make up for flagging Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales. It is readying the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on August 15th by inviting some press to "meet the new way."  

The Samsung Galaxy Note was intially criticised as being too large for a smartphone although Samsung touted the stylus (which is limited in use only on certain Samsung apps) as a big feature. Despite this, te device sold 5 million units as of March, proving that there is a place for phablets in the market.
