Winny Woo, Desktop Category Business Manager at Hewlett-Packard Canada shows us the latest consumer desktops and all-in-one TouchSmart PC models for the holiday season.  Nice to see that the all-in-one desktops are primed and ready for Windows 8 when it does ship in the future.

HP showed off some of its refreshed notebooks and netbooks for the upcoming holiday season. We're seeing better sound by way of Beats Audio across the board, faster processors and more interesteting finishes and designs minus a lot of the crapware that's known to slow systems down. Also included in some of the HP Pavilion notebooks is Adobe's Premiere and Photoshop Elements, adding great value to multimedia-focused creative users.

Windows Phone Mango update finally rolling out

The much awaited update to Windows Phone, version 7.5 codenamed Mango is starting to roll out. We tried our devices but the update was not yet available although Microsoft says it should be out soon. With hundreds of new features and improvements, Mango is a more competetive mobile os that Microsoft hopes will take some market share from Google's Android and the iPhone. Starting today, the next version of Windows Phone is en route to customers. Code named Mango, the update will gradually ramp so that it will be available for free to most existing Windows Phone customers by the end of October. Apple to Announce new iPhone/s on October 4

Apple has just started sending out some invites to an Apple Event on October 4 at the Town Hall Auditorium in the Cupertino Campus. We expect the days leading to the event, Tim Cook's first as CEO of Apple, to be frenzied with speculation and excitement. The good news is that the event is undeniably iPhone related which means the devices themselves should hopefully be out within a few weeks. We are crossing our fingers that Canada and US launches will be simultaneous.
