Samsung's Wave now available on Bell, brings bada and Super AMOLED to Canada

Samsung Mobile announced the availability of the Samsung Wave (model: S8500),  which we previewed weeks ago. This is the first smartphone to leverage bada, Samsung’s new, open smartphone platform.  The Samsung Wave is the first Canadian smartphone to feature Samsung’s ultra-clear Super AMOLED screen technology.

Sony intros smallest 3D capable point-and-shoot cameras

Sony today unveiled two new Cyber-shot digital still cameras (models DSC-TX9 and DSC-WX5) that are the world’s smallest 3D cameras, capturing 3D images with a single lens system using a sweeping motion.  

“Sony is focused on being the leader in 3D technology, leveraging its expertise to create the best 3D products, content and unique entertainment experiences,” said Mio Ozawa, marketing manager in the digital imaging division at Sony Canada. “Sony is making it easy to create personal 3D content that can be enjoyed with friends or family on compatible 3D television systems.”

Review: Amazon Kindle 2.0 now selling at $189 

You can thank the iPad, and the Barnes and Noble Nook, and the Sony Reader....heck, even the Kobo Reader. All that competition has shaken and stirred Amazon to reduce the price of their Kindle 2 ebook reader to a sensible US $189.00 (it originally cost Canadians $312 plus import taxes late last year!)
