Next-gen update for 'The Witcher 3' will come with DLC 'inspired by' Netflix series

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a free update to optimize the game for new consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year. CD Projekt Red will include free downloadable content "inspired by" the Netflix series. The developer and Netflix announced this news during WitcherCon. Not much is known about the DLC yet. But Philipp Weber, acting lead quest designer at CD Projekt Red, said: "So as an example, you might be able to wear Geralt's armour inspired by the Netflix series."

This update has been in the works since September 2020. Back then, the developer said it would offer "a range of visual and technical improvements," including ray tracing and quicker loading times. The update will apply to the "base game, both expansions, and all extra content."

Release of kung fu game 'Sifu' gets delayed to early 2022

Sloclap, the studio behind Absolver, has been working on a new kind of kung fu game called Sifu. It was initially supposed to launch this year, but the developer announced it'll be pushing it back to early 2022.

The game has a peculiar death system where you return to the fight as an older version of your character every time a player dies. Sifu is all about hand-to-hand combat and magical age progression. The newest trailer you see above pays tribute to Fight Club, while Old Boy inspired the first trailer. Sifu is coming to the PlayStation 4, PS5, and Epic Games Store.

Future WhatsApp update lets you send photos, videos in 'best quality'

Photo by Dimitri Karastelev on Unsplash

WhatsApp will be giving you more control over how much compression is applied to images and videos you send over its app. The company is testing this feature on its Android app, giving three quality options—Auto, Best quality, and Data saver. So, if you're worried about data caps or internet speeds, you can send a more compressed file. But if you want to send the highest possible quality that you can, there will be that option, too.

WhatsApp hasn't mentioned when this feature will officially launch. And the test is currently available on Android but not on iOS.
