Future Disney+ original series will come out on Wednesdays

Disney

After Disney moved up the release of Loki to a Wednesday instead of its usual Friday release, the company found that it became its most-watched premiere on the platform. And so, moving forward all-new original Disney series will come out on Wednesdays. So, the upcoming animated Monsters, Inc. series, Monsters at Work, will be moved up to July 2 from July 7.

Highly anticipated Marvel titles like HawkeyeMs. MarvelShe-Hulk, and Moon Knight weren't mentioned in the list, but you can expect these to come out on Wednesdays, too. However, original movies will continue to premiere on Friday, which means its shows and films will no longer have to compete for subscribers' attention.

Disney has no plans yet to introduce a cheaper, ad-supported Disney+ plan

Don't expect Disney to offer a cheaper, ad-supported tier to its Disney+ service anytime soon, even if other services like its own Hulu and HBO Max have something similar. Speaking at the Credit Suisse 23rd Annual Communications Conference on Tuesday, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said, "We're always re-evaluating how we go to market across the world, but we've got no such plans now to do that. We're happy with the models that we've got right now. We won't limit ourselves and say no to anything. But right now, we have no such plans for that."

And it's not an entirely surprising move given that Disney+ has continued to grow, with over 103 million global paid subscribers that's expected to double by 2024.

Nanoleaf Elements bring wood-like smart light panels into your home

Nanoleaf wants to improve the ambiance in your home with its new Elements line featuring Wood Look Hexagons. The smart lights feature a wood-like veneer, so light can shine through when it's on, but it won't look blank when not in use. When you aren't using these Elements lights, they'll just look like wooden decorations hanging from your wall, which won't look too out of place in your home.

These lights work similarly to other Nanoleaf hexagonal light panels. They glow from the front and back for a double lighting effect, and they're programmable with different lighting patterns and effects. You won't get the full-colour spectrum LED, but you can adjust these from warm to cool white light. They come with 11 preset lighting effects, or you can use the Nanoleaf app to program it yourself.
