PlayStation Remote Play app gets DualSense support on iOS

Photo by Harpal Singh on Unsplash

With the release of iOS 14.5, the PlayStation Remote Play app on Apple devices can now support the DualSense controllers. It allows you to play PS4 and PS5 games on your iOS devices with a DualSense as long as you have a sufficiently strong network. Android users also have support for the Remote Play app, but it only supports DualShock 4.

IGN reported on some of the caveats this feature has, including Adaptive Triggers working, but haptics might not work, and the headphone jack and built-in speaker aren't compatible, too. Still, if this is a feature you've been waiting for, then your wait is finally over.

The new earbuds will reportedly have support for high-resolution audio, six-hour battery life plus 120-minute playback from a quick 10-minute charge, and support for wireless charging. It's pegged to be launched around June 8 or 9, which The Walkman Blog cited from FCC filing documents.
