Casio now has a Wear OS-enabled G-Shock watch

If you're a G-Shock fan and want to own a smartwatch, you can finally get both. The Casio G-Squad Pro GSW-H1000 has the G-Shock's signature design paired with full smartwatch OS capabilities. As a G-Shock watch, you get shock resistance and 20 bar water resistance. Its back is made from titanium, while its buttons and portions of the top part are cased in aluminum.

It has a round 1.2-inch dual-layer display with an always-on monochrome panel on top of its colour LCD screen. Like other smartwatches, it can track your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep, and stress. The G-Squad Pro also has an on-board GPS, a compass, and a barometer. It can track 15 activities and 24 indoor workouts.

Microsoft's digital-only Build conference to take place starting May 25

Microsoft will be another company hosting an all-digital conference soon. While details are scarce, we know that the Build developer conference will kick off from May 25 until May 27. We expect to get more information about Build before the end of this month. We know Apple's WWDC is happening in June. We don't know whether Google will also hold its I/O conference or cancel it like last year.

Pinterest rumoured to acquire VSCO

Are we about to get a Pinterest x VSCO mashup? A new report by the New York Times claims that Pinterest might be thinking of acquiring the photo and video editing and sharing app. Neither side has confirmed the negotiations.

But it might definitely work in Pinterest's favour to purchase the "once-buzzy start-up" that became known for "VSCO girls" by Generation Z users back in 2019. On top of that, it will bring its expertise in photo- and video-editing to Pinterest's platform, which can only improve its core offering. We're going to keep our eye out for any updates.

E3 2021 will be a '100 percent free' all-digital event

E3 in 2021 will be understandably an all-digital event. And its organizers want to squash rumours that there will be a paywall for certain parts of the show. In a tweet, the ESA said, "E3's 2021 digital show is a free event for all attendees," and then added in a follow-up statement that "there will be no elements at E3 2021 that will be behind a paywall." We don't know what the event will be like, but we're sure to hear more in the coming weeks.
