Wednesday Addams is getting her own Netflix show

Source: Netflix

Addams Family fans might be delighted to hear that we're revisiting this kooky and spooky family through the lens of their teenage daughter, Wednesday. Tim Burton, known for working on gothic horror and dark comedy films, will be directing the eight-episode show, simply called Wednesday.

Netflix claims it's the director's TV directorial debut, but a Twitter user (@vinegarworks) pointed out that he directed an episode of Faerie Tale Theatre back in 1986. Burton will be joined by Smallville's Alfred Gough and Miles Millar as showrunners and executive producers.

Android 12 will bring privacy toggles to block camera, microphone with a single tap

Source: 9to5Google

With the rollout of Android 12's first Developer Preview, we're getting a glimpse at upcoming features for Google's newest mobile operating system update. One of the privacy enhancements coming to Android will be a pair of toggles that allows you to disable microphone and camera access to all apps.

You can think of these as master switches for both the camera and microphone in your smartphone. In the preview, these toggles show up in the Quick Settings menu with the icons "Block Camera" and "Mute Microphone." 9to5Google is having some trouble using the feature, which we can probably attribute to bugs in the Developer Preview. But, at least, we know this feature is something Google is working on now.

Report: Apple works on iPhone 12 MagSafe Battery Pack

There may or may not be a magnetic battery back for the iPhone 12 in the works. A new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says Apple has been developing a MagSafe Battery Pack attachment for its latest flagship for at least a year. It will supposedly attach to the MagSafe system at the back of the iPhone 12. And according to an unnamed source, some of the prototypes feature a white rubber exterior. Unlike previous iPhone battery packs, this won't serve as a protective case.

The company has reportedly tested to ensure the battery pack's magnetic system firmly attaches to the phone's back. Some MagSafe users have criticized the strength of the magnets Apple has used in the phone as it can't seem to keep MagSafe accessories adhered to it.

Apple's foldable phone will get an LG Display panel?

Apple has reportedly tapped LG Display to develop a display panel for the rumoured foldable iPhone. According to DigiTimesLG Display will help Apple develop the foldable OLED panel needed for this new device. But it isn't known if the company will supply Apple with the screens for mass production.

Samsung has also been attached to this project, with rumours that the competing Korean company already supplied Apple with various foldable display samples last year.

Apple has used both Samsung and LG OLED display for its iPhones, so it's not entirely impossible for the US company to tap both suppliers.
