Adobe: Cyber Monday sales break records with US $ 3 billion in sales

Adobe today released its 2015 online shopping data for Cyber Monday. A record $2.98 billion (12 percent more than in 2014) will be spent online by the end of the day, marking the largest online sales day in history.

Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday will drive a total of $11 billion in online sales, a 15 percent increase year-over-year (YoY) and 30 percent of all online sales in November ($39.5 billion). Brick-and-click retailers saw the strongest growth in sales YoY with 18 percent reversing the trend of Cyber Monday being an online-only retailer day. The first 18 days in December are all expected to be $1 billion sales days.

Apple supporting World AIDS Day campaigns with partner apps and Product RED 

Helping raise awareness and money for an important cause, Apple is teaming up with app developer Supercell, maker of popular iOS games Clash of ClansBoom BeachHay Day which offer various special in-app purchase until 8 a.m. PST on Friday, Dec. 4. 

Apple is also making available various Product RED devices such as iPod Touch, iPod Touch and a Apple Watch RED band as well as new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus cases. A percentage of gross profits from the sale of those products goes to the Global Fund to help fund AIDS programs in Africa. Since its introduction, Product RED has generated more than $275 million for the Global Fund — more than $75 million from Apple alone.

Toronto's dizzying 'Cavalcade of Lights' captured in epic time-lapse video using iPhone 6S

If we needed more proof that our smartphones can now match standalone video cameras, here's photographer Matt Barnes' massive time lapse video of Toronto's 'Cavalcade of Lights' celebration which kicks off the official start of all things Winter in the city. We can see the preparation leading up to the evening's tree-lighting, musical performances, ice skating activities and finally the fireworks that lit up the sky on Saturday night. Motorists cautioned to 'Lock it Down' when it comes to leaving vehicles and valuables in plain view

With the holiday season almost upon us, Ontario's Police Chiefs are encouraging motorists and passengers to LOCK IT DOWN! when it comes to their vehicles and to not leave valuables in plain view. The Province's top cops today launched the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police's (OACP) annual Lock It OR Lose It campaign in Toronto.

The campaign is a crime prevention program that encourages drivers and passengers to take precautions to protect their vehicles and vehicle contents from theft, particularly during the holiday season, but also throughout the year.
