2012 Norton Study: Consumer Cybercrime Costs Canadians C$1.4 Billion

Norton's yearly cybercrime study finds that 8.3 million Canadians fell victim to cybercrime in last year. Increasing dependence on mobile devices also reflected in mobile vulnerabilities doubling in 2011 from 2010·  The study also found that ybercrime costs the average Canadian $169 and that  21%: Online adults who don’t understand the risk of cybercrime or how to protect themselves online. IFA 2012: Samsung introduces the ultimate smart camera

IFA, Berlin ( Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) - Phablets, which merge the size and features of smartphones and tablets are so last year! Samsung's gone and Frankensteined a smartphone and a point and shoot camera, the result is far from monstrous. It is rather intriguing. The aptly named Samsung Galaxy Camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with a 4.8-inch LCD that also serves as the giant viewfinder and will be where most of the controls can be accessed. It has 21x zoom plus for those who were wondering, it does feature WiFi, 3G and even 4G which means it can be used as a phone.

Adobe's Creative Cloud and its evolving software rental model

Adobe is one of the world's biggest software companies and since last year has been pushing a new product distribution and maintenance service through its Creative Cloud initiative. 

With Creative Cloud, most if not all of Adobe's major software products are available via subscription. Users pay a monthly  fee to access applications which are managed remotely on Adobe's server's. The upside to this model is that users never have to worry about updating software since the cloud will offer up the latest versions, fixes and updates.
