Google Maps releases 6000 panoramic views from JFK Space Center

With 2012 marking the 50^th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Google has released over 6000 panoramic views from the space center; its single largest Street View collection to date.

Among the images you can now explore online are the Space Shuttle Launch Pad, the Vehicle Assembly Building where you can see the shuttles in their hangars up close, and the Launch Firing Room from which the shuttles are controlled.

Google Maps on Android updated, now with 3D and offline navigation

Google has made a big update to Google Maps on the Android OS. Available now at the Android Market, Google Maps 5 is now offering 3D versions of the maps as well as offline navigation which doesn't need the GPS or Internet connectivity.
