Microsoft introduces Bing Awards service for upcoming award shows

Fan of all things Hollywood or even just the award season? Microsoft recently introduced a new service under its search engine Bing that is geared towards the upcoming award ceremonies such as the Golden Globes, Grammy’s, and Oscars. Bing Awards is said to house everything related to the award season.

The site was opened just in time for Sunday night’s Golden Globes. Bing Awards contains a look at the event’s history, an insider look at the event, background on the nominees, predictions based on Bing search increases following nomination announcements, and even tips on planning a viewing party.

Microsoft brings class Windows games to Windows Phone 8

Are you a fan of the classic Windows games like Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Mahjong? Now, you can bring it around on your Windows Phone 8 device. Microsoft has synced the desktop and tablet version of the games with your Windows smartphone. The games are also upgraded for Xbox achievements, stat-tracking and leaderboards and for pausing and resuming games on different Windows devices.

Microsoft unveils app to help coding newbies develop Windows 8.1 apps

Looks like Microsoft wants to increase the app count in the Windows Store with the release of Project Siena. The beta app is designed to help non-programmers develop HTML5 and JavaScript apps for Windows 8.1. According to The Next Web, Project Siena works best with the creation of visual apps such as catalogs and asset-based resources with videos, photos, and maps.
