It works as a dock, a charger and turns the dual-core smartphone into a netbook that works through a browser and gives users full access to all smartphone calling, texting and app functions.

Motorola Mobility's ATRIX Android smartphone is, in many ways, a breakthrough device. It is he first dual-core smartphone to martket running Google's Android OS. It is one of the first smartphones to have almost netbook or tablet-like specs with 1GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and, thanks to a novel line of innovative docks, the first smartphone that can work as a notebook or a desktop, at least theoretically.

Motorola Mobility's highly anticipated Atrix Android super-smartphone comes to Bell on March 17 for $599 (no term) or $170 on a new three-year contract. The Atrix ushers in a new mode of smartphone that can turn into a netbook or a desktop or home theatre device when used with accessory docks. Hit jump for Motorola's full release. LAS VEGAS (CES) and TORONTO – Jan. 5, 2011 – Motorola Mobility Canada and Bell today unveiled Motorola ATRIX, the only smartphone with the Motorola webtop application that puts a true desktop browser in the user’s pocket. The ATRIX will be available to Canadians exclusively from Bell Mobility.
