Amazon Germany reportedly leaked OnePlus 6 images

Just a couple of days before the official launch of OnePlus’s newest flagship, it might have just gotten accidentally leaked by Amazon Germany. The German tech site Winfuture showed off images that were allegedly of the front and the back of the OnePlus 6. Based on Amazon German’s marketplace, it will reportedly come in Mirror Black and Midnight Black. The company already took down the images.

The OnePlus 6 is going to be unveiled in London on the 16th. Other specs that are expected to come in the new OnePlus flagship include an iPhone X-like notch that can be toggled on and off and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.

Here’s what the OnePlus 6 x Marvel Avengers Limited Edition phone looks like

After OnePlus confirmed the arrival of the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6, we get the first look at the device through this video teaser for its release. From the looks of it, it’s going to be exclusively released in India through Amazon. It’s coming on May 17 in the said country. The teaser, aside from showing clips from the movie, shows the OnePlus 6 with its 19:9 display and notch, rounded edges, and a new location for the Alert Slider on the right side of the phone. OnePlus in India is hosting an event for fans, too, for this release. There doesn’t seem to be any indication at the moment that the phone will make its way out of the country. But if it did, is it something you’d want to get?

OnePlus 5 and 5T get Android 8.1 Oreo

OnePlus has just updated two of its recent releases, the OnePlus 5 and 5T, to support the latest version of Android 8.1 Oreo. It is part of the stable release of OxygenOS 5.1.0 and brings with it the April 2018 security patch, new optimizations for gaming mode, as well as network priority for a gaming app in the foreground. The phones’ launchers can now automatically name folders based on the category and include category tags in the search section.

The OnePlus 5T also now has navigation gesture support similar to what you can do with the iPhone X. You can enable this feature by heading into settings and disabling the navigation bar. The gestures include swiping up from the middle to take you to the home screen, pausing for a second after swiping from the bottom to access recent apps, and swiping from left or right side to go back (this can be used interchangeably). If you forget these gestures. You can just toggle the navigation bar off again and have the phone remind you of the gestures.

OnePlus 6 ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ edition seems to be happening

With the promotions for Avengers: Infinity War in full swing, news surrounding the big Marvel movie are abundant. One of the latest reports from Deadline report about the advertising campaign and partnerships Marvel is involved in to promote the film (which it claims is the “biggest advertising campaign yet” for Marvel). One of the brands mentioned is OnePlus and the supposed release of the OnePlus 6 Avengers edition in the UK. It says the unit will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM. The report suggests it’s coming out just in the UK but when the teaser leaked, it came from India. Perhaps the phone will be limited to certain regions? We can’t say just yet. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for updates.
