Sony unveils premium Z Series 4K HDR HD TVs

Sony Electronics revealed the Z series, the next generation in television display technology with the ability to reproduce the deeper blacks, brighter lights, and vibrant colours of the real world.

The new flagship Z series sits atop Sony’s current X series line-up of premium 4K HDR Ultra HD TVs, which includes the award winning X930D and X940D.

The new “Z” brand designates a significant leap forward and the ultimate in display technology. With this advance, Sony brings 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR) to a new level with ultra-contrast and even more realistic, accurate colour, in order to express what the content creators truly intended.

Review: Sony SmartWatch 3

Often overlooked, Sony's line of Android Wear powered SmartWatch devices have been on the map for some time now. The SmartWatch 3 is the latest available iteration and brings some much desired features to an already crowded market.

Sony is one of the companies that seems really bullish for the wearables market. The SmartWatch 3 is the third attempt at creating a complementary device for Android devices. Sony is positioning the SW3 as a peripheral to Sony's latest Xperia smartphones. I connected my review SmartWatch 3 to my personal Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it worked just fine.

Review: Sony Xperia Z3 & Z3 Compact

The Z3 Compact is still the BEST small Android phone you can buy today. It shares the same premium design and powerful specifications of its bigger sibling, but in a more compact frame with a screen that is more reasonably sized. It too now runs Lollipop, so benefits from all the additional features of Google’s latest OS, including Android for Work.

Introduction

I'm here to tell you why the Sony Xperia Z3 & Z3 Compact are two of the most underrated Android phones currently available. In the smartphone market, at least in North America (and especially in the US), Sony can’t seem to catch a break. Its Xperia range of Android phones are great devices, but just aren’t as popular as handsets from Samsung and HTC. 

In contrast, when I was in Europe recently I saw a lot more people with Xperias. Sony’s phones are more popular in Europe, and I don't understand why they haven’t caught on in North America. Though when compared to the US market, they have been more successful in Canada.
