TCL BOOK X12 Go brings a paper-like display to a 2-in-1 Windows machine

If you like TCL's paper-like display but prefer to have a Windows machine over an Android tablet, TCL also introduced the TCL Book X2 Go. This Surface Book-esque 2-in-1 machine comes with a detachable keyboard and runs on Windows 11. As mentioned, its 12.2-inch screen has TCL's blue light filtering NXTPAPER display. This improved textured screen now gets a backlight while offering 61 percent blue light filtering and an anti-glare coating. It supports TCL's stylus, which you can get as an option when you buy this laptop hybrid.

The TCL BOOK X23 Go runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen2 processor with 4GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and a 30wh battery with up to 14 hours of battery life. It also gets a 5-megapixel webcam and an 8-megapixel rear camera. This 2-in-1 device will be available "later this year," but TCL hasn't shared pricing and availability yet.

TCL introduces NXTPAPER 12 Pro

TCL updates its NXTPAPER Android tablet range with the new NXTPAPER 12 Pro. This new slate with a paper-like display features improved display technology on its 12.2-inch 2K screen. It now reduces blue light output by 61%, is 100% brighter than before, and has better contrast. TCL addressed the criticisms against the NXTPAPER 10s, which some said had low brightness and muted colours. 

Of course, it supports the TCL E-Pen, allowing you to draw or write on the screen. The stylus detects up to 8,192 levels of pressure.

TCL Book 14 Go is the company's first laptop geared towards students

One of the new devices TCL launched at CES is its first laptop. The TCL Book 14 Go is a new affordable laptop designed for students and young professionals entering the working world. The company priced the device at US$349 (around CA$440), with plans for a release in select regions in Q2 2022.

TCL revamps its NXTWear TV glasses to look more fashionable

Whether it would make sense for you to wear glasses indoors or not, TCL redesigns its TV glasses to look more like a pair you'll want to wear. The NXTWear Air aren't augmented reality glasses (but TCL also has that). These glasses are more of an accessory you can plug into any device and work as an external monitor of sorts close to your eyes. You can enjoy your content or do some work while lounging around.

Functionally, they aren't as different as the original NXTWear, but now they look more like RayBan Wayfarers than the IMAX 3D glasses look of the past. It has a black plastic frame with magnetic front plates and tinted lenses you can swap out for different styles. That black USB-C cable on the right side will give it away as a tech device, though.
