TikTok rolls out Q&A feature to all creators

Source: TikTok

After initial tests with some TikTok creators, the company is now rolling out its new TikTok Q&A feature to all of its content creators, making it easier for them to engage with their audience.

If you want the feature and have a Creator account, you can turn it on by heading to your settings and privacy page, select Creator, tap Q&A, and hit the Turn on Q&A to activate the feature. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of TikTok to access this function.

If you aren't a TikTok creator yet and want to be one, head to the Manage account in your option in your settings and choose the Switch to Creator Account option.

TikTok's Live Replay feature lets creators rewatch, download their live streams

A new TikTok feature can be beneficial for creators who want to improve live streams. Spotted by Andreas Sandre on Twitter, the platform gets a Live Replay feature that allows creators to replay their live streams and download these videos within 90 days of its first airing.

We aren't sure if this feature is widely released to its users. But what it is good for is to help creators look back at great moments and reflect on mistakes and areas to improve on. And since you can download the clip, there's also room to use those videos for other content you produce. The Live Replay menu is accessible through the Settings and Privacy tab.

Instagram isn't testing this feature right now, but the code for the change is in development, as spotted by developer Alessandro Paluzzi.

TechCrunch pointed out that if Instagram decides to pursue this idea, then we might see the social network shift away from static content (such as photos or reshared Feed posts on Stories) to make way for videos. It could prioritize videos over photos, too, to better compete with TikTok.

TikTok rolls out prompts to assess accuracy and misinformation

Source: TikTok

The wildly popular social sharing platform, TikTok, has announced further action to help users identify accuracy and misinformation in the content they are viewing. TikTok has partnered with fact checkers to help them assess the accuracy of content. If fact checks confirm content to be false, TikTok will remove the video from their platform. Sometimes fact checks are inconclusive or content is not able to be confirmed, and in these cases a video may become ineligible for recommendation into anyone's For You feed to limit the spread of potentially misleading information.
