Nokia is finally rolling out the most anticipated update for their Lumia ecosystem since the devices first launched back in 2012. Aptly named "Lumia Black", Nokia has taken the minor improvements found in Windows Phone 8′s recent GDR3 update and added substantial user-facing improvements. We just installed the update and the process takes around 40 minutes. Hit jump for all the details.
The Nokia Camera app is now officially available in beta for all Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices. The app was previously made available for the higher-end PureView-equipped phones, namely Lumia 1020, 928, 925 and 920. The app is designed to combine features of the Pro Camera and Smart Camera apps. It provides you with full manual mode, quicker access to night and sport mode and has the Smart Camera feature that takes photo sequences to allow you to edit things out of a photo or select the best one. The beta version of the app can be downloaded here.

Nokia is bringing RAW photo support to the new Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1020 devices. Images on these phones can be saved as uncompressed Digital Negative files. Take note that utilizing the Lumia 1020’s 41MP and 1520’s 20MP sensors for RAW image saving can eat up phone storage rather quickly.
