Apple TV+ now available for select 2019 LG smart TVs

Apple continues to expand the reach of its Apple TV+ app. It's now available in some compatible 2019 LG smart TVs in over 80 countries. With the Apple TV+ app, users get access to the company's streaming service. You can also rent or buy around 100,000 movies and TV shows through the app. For some of LG's 2018 televisions, Apple TV+ is also expected to arrive sometime this year. Some 2019 LG TVs also support Apple AirPlay 2, making it easier to mirror content from iOS devices directly to their TVs.

Disney shares release periods for 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier,' 'WandaVision,' and 'The Mandalorian’

Three highly anticipated shows on Disney+ are going to be available soon. Disney CEO Bob Iger shared the news during its latest earnings call. 

The first up is Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will come out in August. It is Marvel's first Disney+ original series that brings back stars Anthony Mackie as Falcon or Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier or Bucky Barnes as they deal with events post-Avengers: Endgame.

You can now reply to Instagram Stories with GIFs

It might not be an essential update, but Instagram now lets users reply to Stories using GIFs. You can already add GIFs from Giphy into Stories themselves. Now, you can use these GIFs to reply to Instagram Stories, too. Maybe sometimes, when words aren't enough, there are GIFs to help you better express yourself.

'Star Trek: Picard' becomes Crave's most streamed series debut in history

Bell Media announced that the recently released Star Trek: Picard is the most-streamed debut on its Crave streaming service. The company counted total streams of the pilot episode in the week following its premiere on January 23. Crave gets a new episode of the show every Thursday night. Picard also airs on Thursday's on Bell's CTV Sci-Fi channel. 

Star Trek: Picard marks the return of Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard. It explores the fallout following the death of Data in Star Trek: Nemesis— which is also the last time Stewart appeared on a Star Trek project—as well as the destruction of Romulus in J.J. Abrams' 2009 Star Trek movie. The show has already been renewed for a second season, giving fans more episodes to look forward to.
